Last Updated: August 18, 2026

Indigo Apps ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Hidden Camera Detector mobile application (the "App").

This Privacy Policy explains what information may be accessed, processed, or collected when you use the App, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.

By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. About the App

Hidden Camera Detector is a mobile inspection and detection tool designed to help users inspect environments for unusual indicators that may warrant further manual inspection.

The App provides features including:

  • Infrared/camera-based inspection
  • Magnetic field detection
  • Magnetic field meter and graph tools
  • Wireless/device scanning
  • Manual inspection guidance
  • Guided privacy inspection
  • Advertising-supported functionality

The App provides indicators and measurements only. It does not guarantee that a hidden camera, microphone, recording device, electronic device, or other surveillance equipment is present or absent.

Sensor readings and other results can vary depending on the device, environment, electromagnetic conditions, lighting, hardware capabilities, and other factors.

2. Information We May Access or Process

Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, the App may access or process the following categories of information.

A. Camera Data

The App may request access to your device camera for features that require camera-based or infrared inspection.

Camera frames used for detection are processed for the purpose of providing the relevant inspection functionality.

We do not intentionally upload or store your camera images or video on our own servers.

The App does not use camera access for unrelated purposes.

You can deny camera permission through Android settings. Some camera-based features may not work if permission is denied.

B. Device Sensors

The App may access supported device sensors, including magnetic field sensors, to provide magnetic inspection and measurement features.

Sensor readings may be used to:

  • Display magnetic field strength
  • Display live measurements
  • Generate magnetic field graphs
  • Identify unusually elevated magnetic field readings
  • Provide inspection indicators

Sensor readings used by these features are processed for the functionality of the App.

The App does not intentionally upload raw magnetic sensor readings to our own servers.

C. Wireless and Nearby Device Information

Some inspection features may access information provided by supported Android wireless/device APIs, depending on your Android version, device capabilities, permissions, and the feature being used.

This may include information such as:

  • Nearby wireless/device information
  • Device names where provided by Android
  • Signal-strength or radio-related measurements where available

This information is used to provide the relevant inspection functionality.

The App does not intentionally upload the raw inspection results to our own servers.

Availability and behaviour of these features may vary by Android version and device manufacturer.

D. Device and Technical Information

Third-party services used by the App, particularly advertising services, may process technical information associated with the device or App.

Depending on the service and configuration, this may include:

  • Device type and model
  • Android version
  • App version
  • Advertising identifiers
  • App-set or similar identifiers
  • Approximate technical information
  • Ad interaction information
  • Diagnostic or performance information

3. How We Use Information

Information accessed or processed by the App or its third-party service providers may be used for purposes including:

  • Providing the App's detection and inspection features
  • Operating camera-based inspection features
  • Processing magnetic sensor readings
  • Providing wireless/device inspection features
  • Displaying inspection results
  • Improving App stability and performance
  • Diagnosing technical problems
  • Serving and measuring advertisements
  • Preventing fraud and abuse
  • Maintaining and improving the App

We do not use camera or sensor readings for unrelated advertising purposes.

4. Camera and Sensor Processing

The App's inspection features are designed to process relevant camera and sensor information for the purpose of providing inspection functionality.

We do not intentionally sell, rent, or otherwise provide raw camera images, camera frames, or raw magnetic sensor readings collected through the App to advertisers for their own purposes.

The App should not be considered a professional security, surveillance, forensic, or detection system.

Inspection results are indicative only.

5. Advertising and Google Mobile Ads

The App may use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements.

Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect or process certain information, depending on the SDK configuration, applicable settings, and the services being used.

This may include:

  • Advertising ID
  • App Set ID
  • Device or account-related identifiers where applicable
  • App usage information
  • Advertising interactions
  • Diagnostic information
  • Information required to serve, measure, and protect advertising services

Google may process information in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable terms.

For more information, please review Google's Privacy Policy .

6. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services and software development kits (SDKs), including Google services and advertising services.

These services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)

Used to provide advertisements and related advertising functionality.

Google Play Services / Android platform services

Used where required by specific App functionality, platform integration, advertising, security, or other supported features.

The exact information processed by a third-party service may depend on the service, Android version, device, App configuration, and applicable regional settings.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not intentionally share your camera images, camera frames, or raw magnetic sensor readings with advertisers for advertising or profiling purposes.

However, information may be processed or shared with third-party service providers when necessary for services integrated into the App, including advertising, diagnostics, security, fraud prevention, and technical operation.

We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We do not intentionally maintain a server-side database containing your camera inspection images or raw magnetic sensor readings.

Information processed by third-party services may be retained by those providers according to their own policies, technical requirements, and legal obligations.

Where information is stored locally by the App or Android operating system, it may generally be removed by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data through Android settings, subject to Android system behaviour.

9. Your Choices and Permissions

You control whether the App can access permissions requested by Android.

Depending on the feature, you may be able to:

  • Allow or deny camera access
  • Allow or deny relevant nearby-device or wireless permissions
  • Manage advertising settings through Android or Google settings
  • Revoke previously granted permissions through Android settings
  • Stop using the App
  • Uninstall the App

If a permission is denied, the related feature may not function correctly.

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled through the App and to limit access to information to the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Where third-party services are used, those services may apply their own security measures and data protection practices.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. International Processing

Third-party service providers used by the App may process information on servers located in countries other than your country of residence.

Where applicable, such providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies, contractual safeguards, and applicable legal requirements.

13. Privacy Policy and Data Safety Consistency

We aim to keep this Privacy Policy consistent with the App's actual data practices and with the information declared in the Google Play Data Safety section.

If the App's functionality, permissions, SDKs, advertising configuration, or data practices change, this Privacy Policy and the corresponding Google Play disclosures may also be updated.

16. Important Detection Disclaimer

Hidden Camera Detector is an inspection assistance tool.

The App's infrared, magnetic, wireless, sensor, and manual inspection features provide measurements, indicators, or guidance that may help users identify areas requiring further inspection.

A positive or elevated reading does not prove that a hidden camera, microphone, tracker, recording device, or other surveillance device is present.

Likewise, a normal reading does not guarantee that no such device is present.

Environmental electromagnetic fields, electronic equipment, building materials, lighting conditions, device hardware, wireless signals, and other factors can affect results.

For important privacy or security concerns, users should perform a careful physical inspection and, where appropriate, seek professional assistance.
